
One of life's great pleasures is watching an underdog put one over on a favourite. As a fan of
St. Johnstone Football Club opportunities to do just that tend to come along every now and again. Since the triumphs
of season 1998-99, when we won half of our league games against the Old Firm, reached the final of the League Cup
and the semi final of the Scottish Cup culminating in a day of great jubilation which saw Saints beat Dundee 1
- 0 and finishing third in the Scottish Premier League, things have perhaps gone a little off the boil. Still,
hope keeps us all going and memories of Saints thrilling 3-3 draw against Monaco in the UEFA cup remain strong.
Things are not looking good for this season, but such is the lot of the Saints fan. We've had highs and lows but
being a fan is forever! Anyway, we're not relegated yet…
